Read PostThe order was filled quickly and the bike delivered in just a couple days. Easy to assemble. They did forget to send 1 purchase accessory and I found one allen screw was nearly stripped (attaching rear carrier to frame). I phoned the office and the service rep was very helpful, the missing accessory and a longer allen screw was mailed to us and again delivered quickly. I changed the allen screw and all seems well. Have ridden only a few kilometers but am very happy with the performance and handling. Looking forward to more. I would highly recommend the Bravo 2.
5 stars for the bike, 1 star for buying experience
I waited a long time to cool off before writing this review, as the initial buying process was extremely frustrating. I purchased the bike online on April 24, but did not receive it for 6 weeks, even though the website stated the bike was in stock and would be shipped within 4 days. It took several phone calls before the bike was shipped, and I'm not sure I ever would have received it without those calls. Although the customer service people were nice, there were (in my opinion) severe operational issues with the company during that time that were still occurring when I ordered an accessory in July (which also took many days and a phone call before it shipped).
Once received, however, I've been very happy with the bike itself. It arrived almost completely assembled and is very easy to finish the assembly from just watching the video. It looks great, feels sturdy, the components are good quality for the price, nice display, and I can get approx. 125km from the battery (I'm 5'9", 135lbs, use the throttle infrequently and peddle most of the time).
I ride it for pleasure as often as I can, for much longer distances than my acoustic bike, and have already put 1,000kms on it with no issues. I would have no reservations recommending this bike to anyone – just be prepared to make phone calls if the bike doesn't ship within 5-7 days (assuming it's in stock).
Purchased both the Bravo V2 and the Elegant V2 we haven’t had bikes in 40 years but decided to get in on the e bike bandwagon at 72 & 73 years old. We are still learning and practicing riding our bikes but we both are enjoying them, most of our friends already have e bikes but when I look at the features we have I’m very happy to have chosen Volts. People are always stopping us and asking about them so we definitely tell them these are the ones to get.
I bought a VoltBike Elegant just prior to the pandemic. After riding it for a year (about 3000 km on country roads and gray gravel trails) I felt the frame was a little too small. I am 6‘,1“ and 220 pounds. I love the Elegant, but decided to upgrade to a Bravo, almost 2 years ago. The Bravo's frame size and wheels are a little bigger than the Elegant. The Elegant is a little quicker off the mark than the Bravo (due to smaller wheel diameter). I also found the tires on the elegant ran quieter. A typical ride for me it’s about 30 km over two hours. I’ve never used more than 20% of the battery power for that distance. You can’t go wrong with Voltbike.
I bought my Bravo V2 this spring with a spare battery and added panniers. I’m getting around 75k from the batteries depending on how hard I pedal. Adjusted the handlebars to a more upright position, cut front fender back to fit my rack and tweaked some settings. Everything else is stock. I’ve put 300k on it in mostly 50k trips.
The bike is perfect for my needs. PEI has incredible trails and this bike has a great balance of trail and road capabilities that suit the kind of riding we have on the Island. It’s going to be a glorious summer :-)
